Abstract Opportune and accurate identification of Date pests during storage, is prerequisite for reducing pest damages having a good export. The present study aimed to define new sampling method three main storage Oryzaephilus surinamensis (Linnaeus), Ephestia kuehniella (Zeller) Plodia interpunctella (Hübner) in date Deiri Cultivar, by Spectrophotometer. experiments were conducted completely randomized design with factorial arrangement two levels. first factor consisted 4 levels including different stages life cycle the second had 10 densities each development stage insect species. First, curve changes absorbance level was plotted against wavelength again it repeated This enabled us determine absorption range device wavelengths. Our results showed that maximum egg, larva, pupa adult O. , Cultivar 1210, 1230, 1250, 1270 nm, respectively.
